Avalanche is a 1.5yr Great Dane. He was rescued from a home where he spent the majority of his time in a cage that was way too small for him and he was stained from his own urine and feces. He was also severely underweight and taught very little manners. He has since been in foster care and is working on being more obedient and listening better. Avalanche has a condition called Angiomatosis, which is not life threatening. He had a biopsy on a couple of the lumps and it proved that these are benign and cosmetic only. Avalanche will need a dominant owner that will continue helping him with his manners. He does well with other dogs but is not recommended for a home with young children or cars. He would be best in a home with a fenced in yard so he has a positive release of energy. He is house trained but due to his past experiences with cages he would not like to be crated. Avalanche would do best in a home that has Great Dane experience as they are a very particular breed.

Furever Tails is a non-profit, no-kill, foster home based animal rescue based out of Oakland Township, MI. Our foster animals are living in our foster homes and treated like family until they find their own furever family. Our adoption process requires an application to be completed and approved before a meet-n-greet with the animal can take place. Adoption fees are necessary to help us cover vetting costs for our rescued animals.
