My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lovable Ziggy is a beautiful girl that is perfectly proportioned, and is smaller in size, only 40lbs... with the cutest little cowlick on the back of her neck.

She has the cutest little personality that will win your heart, but only after she is allowed to size you up. Shy at first, especially with exuberant hellos. She needs a little time and space to trust.

She loves her person and will be fine as an only dog, but will also enjoy sharing her home with other dogs. She has lived with up to 9 other dogs at a time. She is respectful and meets other dogs well and loves to play with them. She would love dog beach or park, is is a true athlete and is very strong so she would make a great running partner.

She is a smart girl that would be a star pupil with training.

Children scare her so if children are in her vicinity, she needs a place to stand back and observe as opposed to being part of the action. She went nose to nose with our cat and did fine. She was a little fearful and jumped back, but curious so they are now fine with each other.

She doesn't like car rides, especially long ones. She tolerates it when she has to, but the movement of the car seems to scare her. She came to me potty trained and learned the doggie door easily. She prefers to sleep in the crate at night. I leave the door open. Sometimes she choses a dog bed to sleep part of the night. I have left her in the crate when I leave and she does fine, but I let her have the run of the house with the other dogs.

She is just darling and very lovable and will be an amazing companion.
