Sadie's Story...
Sadie is a female Maltese, about 2 years of age. She is a sturdy little dog, weighing in at 10½ pounds. She has an all white coat of hair that is soft and non shedding. She is sporting a short haircut as she was totally matted when she was found as a stray. Her silky, Maltese coat will be lovely with regular grooming. Sadie is a nice looking dog with her big beautiful eyes. She has a sweet, friendly, and gentle personality. Sadie was found with her bonded partner (her sister or mother). These two dogs love each other and are very content when they are together. These two sweethearts even eat their meals next to each other. It would make both girls very happy if they could be adopted together. Sadie is social with people and gets along nicely with other small dogs. She enjoys receiving affection and kind words. Since nothing was known of her past, Sadie was examined by a vet, spayed, teeth cleaned, received a microchip, and given all of her shots. Sadie is a darling little dog and will make a wonderful pet. She is healthy and ready to meet her new forever family!
You can meet Sadie at PETSMART La Jolla Village Square, 8657 Vila La Jolla Dr., La Jolla, CA 92037 on SAT., MAY 6th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a San Diego Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
