Lucy's Story...
*Single female
*Tortoishell longhair Persian
-Lucy came into our rescue because she was at a local shelter in danger of being euthanized. She is one of the sweetest Persians I have ever met in my entire life and she didn't want to die. I had to take her home to see if we could help this sweet girl. Lucy has some medical issues that we are getting checked out. She has urinary issues including potentially bladder stones. She also has some scabby/itchy skin that we think may be allergy related. We are going to do everything in our power to help this sweet girl get fixed so she can find her happily ever after. She's just such an amazing girl and she just wants a lap to sit on and someone to pet her and love her and spoil her forever. Lucy has seen our cats here and she pretty much just ignores them or avoids them so I think she'd be fine with any household cats. She has not met our dog yet but has seen the rabbits here and doesn't seem to mind them. She has used her litter box perfectly here as well! Lucy is spayed, microchipped, utd on all shots, dewormed, deflead, and negative for FIV/Felv. She is declawed and has been her whole life. Lucy will not be available until we at least get a handle on what issues she is facing. At the very least she will be on special food the rest of her life. Lucy has no adoption fee to the right adopter (with home visit) when she is really to go to a new home. Our adoption application can be filled out here: http://www.judgespark.org/adoption-application.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Edinburg Persian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Persian for sale in Edinburg, or seeking a Persian cat from a breeder in Edinburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edinburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edinburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Persian breeders who help with Persian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edinburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
