My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lailah has overcome a lot in her short life and deserves a loving, forever home! This sweet, 2-year-old girl was found abandoned in a local cemetery, starving, with a dislocated leg, and with 4 puppies.
A good Samaritan stopped to help this starving girl, and Lailah led him to her fat and healthy puppies.
Her puppies have all been adopted. and Lailah's right hind leg has been surgically repaired and it poses no issues, and she zooms around just fine! Lailah enjoys walks, running around in the yard, fetching balls and frisbees, and chewing on her Nylabones. Her foster Mom says she can't stress enough how much Lailah is a velvety soft, sweet, smart cuddle bug.
Her ideal home would be one with no other pets. Based on assessments, Lailah was most likely not socialized with other dogs. Thus, she tends to be territorial when other dogs are in her space. Lailah requires an experienced adopter, someone who is patient and understanding as she does become anxious when initially left alone and in unfamiliar settings. However, she is not destructive, is crate trained, is potty trained and focuses on her Nylabone or her toys when anxious. She is left out of her crate during the day when people are gone and is fine. She is given flouxetine (Prozac) and Trazadone to help calm her. This soft as velvet, medium sized girl is extremely smart, obeys commands, and is a quick learner. She is also great with kids.
Lailah is spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $150.00. If interested in adopting her, please fill out our Adoption Application on our website (posted below).
