I am already neutered, micro-chipped, up to date with shots, and in need of an experienced dog owner.
Sonny is a male Maltese mix approximately 3 years old. He has a soft, white and copper colored coat with unique markings and a lovely feathered tail. Sonny weighs 11 lbs and has a nice sturdy feel to him. He is a friendly, perky, athletic, young dog who likes attention and is eager to meet and greet everyone. Sonny is very people oriented and wants to be included in daily family life. He gets along well with the other dogs in the household and will politely share a bed with several of them if it means that he gets to be near his favorite person. We believe, however, that Sonny will be perfectly happy as an only dog. Sonny is healthy. He adores treats and meal time. You will never have to look for him because he will always be close to you. He will snuggle with you when you read a book or sleep at your feet when you are at your computer. Sonny is very alert and will be a good guard dog for your family. He does not bark unnecessarily. We are looking to place Sonny in a home with an experienced dog owner and no children as he needs work with resource guarding. In all likelihood, Sonny spent most of his life outside and ignored. He’ll need time to learn to understand his new human and time to learn basic skills like potty training, sit and stay. Sonny is a very good boy and he is going to make a wonderful pet and companion and he so deserves a better life with people who care about him.
