Brooklyn's Story...
5/25/2017:BROOKLYN HAS BEEN ADOPTED! This adorable litter of (7) 8 week old Siberian husky/Labrador retriever/Rottweiler pups was surrendered to the rescue in the hopes of finding them loving, forever homes. These pups are super cute and will adapt to any home environment. Since they are puppies, they will do well with children. other dogs and even cats! You can socialize them and mold them to be just the perfect dog for you. We anticipate that these babies will be large breed dogs given their breed type(s) and will need a home where they will get the exercise that all larger breed dogs need. A fenced yard or regular leash walks or dog park visits should do the trick to keep them exercised appropriately. It will be important to socialize them well so that they will grow to be easy going, lovable adults. Since you are adopting a puppy, please be aware and be prepared that they will need training and you will go thru the puppy chewing phase. Each pup will be available for $175 adoption fee which will help cover their vetting and cost of care while with us. We will be accepting applications until pups can be spayed and neutered (should be ready some time in May). If interested in applying for one of these cuties, please email your interest and your adoption application (noting your preference(s) on your application) or feel free to call us @ (352)493-1255 for more information or to set up a meet and greet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brooklyn, a Chiefland Siberian Husky/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky/Labrador Retriever for sale in Chiefland, or seeking a Siberian Husky/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Chiefland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chiefland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chiefland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Siberian Husky/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chiefland paves the way for another one to be saved.
