Petey needed out of the shelter immediately, we said to our lady who was at the shelter please send us the info on who is out of time & needs out right now. It was Petey, the loveliest little man you will ever meet. Everyone at our vets loves Petey. Petey has to go to a home with other people at home or another dog, he has lots of energy & wants to run & play but also enjoys affection. So a home who can play with Petey or take him on walks daily is the best fit for him. Petey is 9 years old, 11.5 lbs & we just got him a dental where he had 11 teeth removed, he is chipped, up to date on his shots, heart worm negative. No clue about children, nor cats. He is a Shi tzu terrier mix. He has an adoption fee of $450.
Note from Petey's foster mom: He is doing very well and is a very happy and affectionate dog. He sleeps contentedly through the night in his crate.
His separation anxiety is still evident but also improving. !
He is great in the car, loves to go for rides, and he does very well at the dog park! He's been on two hikes with me and spent a couple of hours on the sunny patio of a dog friendly restaurant!
He is good with cats as long as they don't run. If they run, he pursues!
