Jamison's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Jamison's Story...
Jamison was surrendered to Goofy Foot with 3 siblings as part of a neglect case after his owner passed away. When Jamison first entered our foster program he was severely emaciated and very timid. Jamison has now blossomed into a "normal" dog and is ready to find his forever family. We estimate him to be around 2 years old and 13 lbs. Jamison loves squeaky toys and treats. He loves to snuggle and is working hard on housebreaking, but still has accidents. He loves to play with all of his doggy foster friends, big and small. Jamison is not fond of cats and will require a home without them.

If you are interested in adding Jamison to your family, please go to www.goofyfootrescue.org to complete an online adoption application. He is currently being fostered in west Tennessee. He will be transported once his adoption is finalized. Transport runs to the following cities: Harrisonburg, VA; Hagerstown, MD; Harrisburg, PA; Allentown, PA; Bedminster, NJ; Southington, CT; Willington, CT.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jamison, a Southington Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Southington, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
