Scruffy's Story...
Scruffy is a handsome little wire haired Jack Russel Terrier. And he is a serious gentleman. Scruffy was adopted from the shelter as a puppy 7 years ago. But his owners tearfully returned him saying they could not afford to care for him. And getting to know Scruffy we just cannot imagine them nto finding a way. Scruffy is a charming fellow with excellent manners. He knows his basic commands and is housebroken. He is truly a lovely dog who needs a family who will see the lean times through with him. And possibly help him to FIND some lean times since he clearly has not missed a meal recently. Scruffys adoption fee is $100. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tacoma already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tacoma breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
