Diego's Story...

Diego is a charming 6 month old boy who is so ready for a home of his own. He is small (at only about 30 pounds now) and probably will not get a bunch bigger - maybe top out at 40lbs. Diego made it through a bout of parvo where we, sadly, lost his sister Dora. Thankfully he has made a full recovery. Diego is a soft and gentle boy. He would love a family with kids. A compatible female dog would be great too. Diego was initially thought to be a pit bull mix and probably still is just that. But as he is maturing it is becoming obvious he is mixed with something else. What? we don't know. We are thinking Boston Terrier or Border Collie.  We have really fallen in love with him here at DRAW and it will be hard to see him go, but he deserves to find his forever home.  Diego's adoption fee is $200.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diego, a Tacoma American Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie for sale in Tacoma, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Tacoma.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tacoma already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tacoma breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tacoma paves the way for another one to be saved.
