Mia is a 10 year old, 20 lb Jack Russell Terrier mix. Please don’t tell her that she’s 10 years old because she never got the memo. She loves going on walks, playing with her tennis ball, and doing sprints across the room when she’s happy to see you. Although she would be just as happy spending the day cuddling on the couch with you. She is bursting with love for all her people and would want nothing more than to just be near you. It would be impossible to feel alone or unloved with this girl in your life.

Mia was unfortunately surrendered by her owners due to financial hardships. She had some medical complications not long after, but has now made a miraculous recovery. Her life has been a little rocky up until now so she can be somewhat apprehensive of new things. But she’s strong and quickly realizes that she’s safe.

She currently lives happily with two cats in her foster home, but finds small children a little overwhelming and would be more comfortable with ages 8+ Mia is house trained, knows basic commands, has many years ahead of her, and would make a wonderful addition to a loving home.

If you are interested in Mia please first fill out the online adoption application at www.greatpets.org. Mia's $100 adoption donation includes her spay surgery, vet exam, dental, blood work, vaccinations, fecal, flea treatment and microchip.

About New Beginnings for Animals

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a no-kill rescue group in Southern California. Our primary focus is rescuing animals from local high-kill shelters. We then either board them or place them in foster homes so we can better assess their personalities before placing them in loving homes. All our animals are examined by our veterinarians, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested if they are cats, flea treated and dewormed if needed.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our cats can be seen 7 days a week at:
PETSMART Aliso Viejo
26762 Aliso Creek Rd.
Aliso Viejo, CA 92656
Adoption hours: Saturday and Sunday 12 noon - 4 p.m.

Some of our cats are also in foster homes so please call Hana at (949) 716-0538 or email her at hanaskids@gmail.com to set up an appointment to visit a kitty in foster care or to visit them at Petsmart.

Please call 949-348-8057 or info@greatpets.org to set up an appointment to visit with one of our wonderful dogs available for adoption.

Our Adoption Process...

All interested parties are required to complete a pre-adoption questionnaire. This helps us place our rescued animals in the home that is best suited to their needs and the needs of their new family. Most of these animals have been through so much and we want to make their transition as smooth as possible. Please visit our website www.greatpets.org for more information or our calendar of adoption events where you can meet our wonderful dogs and kitties.
