Ducky's Story...
Hi there, I'm the devoted, darling, devilishly handsome (if I do say so myself) Ducky. As you can tell, I'm super-happy. I love to give kisses and play with the other dogs at the shelter. I'm cheerful, affectionate, and playful. I have a great sense of humor and some pretty awesome ears! I haven't mastered that "fetch" game the humans like so much, but I can toss my own ball in the air and catch it all day! Also, when I feel like some love, I will just lie right next to you and plop my paws in your lap! BEST. THING. EVER. Guaranteed! And when I know you have treats? Wait til you see my puppy dog eyes! You won't be able to resist me! Want to find out for yourself? Come by the shelter and visit with me today! No small kids please! I forget not to jump sometimes and I might knock them down. Please visit www.dupageco.org/animalcontrol for more details or call 630-407-2800.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ducky, a Wheaton Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Wheaton, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Wheaton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wheaton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wheaton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wheaton paves the way for another one to be saved.
