Murdoch And Elektra's Story...

Murdoch and Elektra were rescued kittens. The mother looked like a Maine coon but we had no information about the father. I brought them directly to the Veterinarian's office for a check-up and to get their shots up-to-date and it was determined they were about five weeks old. This was around mid-June 2015 so that would put them at almost two years old now. Currently my life has changed and allergies have become an issue. So, we are looking to rehome both Murdoch and Elektra with a good home preferably with kids. They have never been around kids but have been around adults. They are hiders till they know you and trust you. Once this occurs they will be all over you..that is a great thing! They are very lovable and love to be around you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Murdoch And Elektra, a Durham Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Durham, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Durham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Durham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Durham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Durham paves the way for another one to be saved.
