Méo is 8 pounds of adorable and so ready for his forever home. Méo is under one year old and is always up for some fun. This Lhasa x Shih Tzu found his way to Animatch because his family was going through a divorce and were unable to keep him. At first, he did not react well to being at Animatch. In order to protect himself, he was reactive when people tried to pick him up. No dog can be blamed for their instincts but they do need to be respected. Méo may take a while to feel less vulnerable and lessen his instinct to protect himself by snapping. We cannot stress enough how important it is to socialize a dog to assorted places and people. There are so many things to do with a dog -- join an agility group, participate in an obedience class, enjoy simple walks in the neighbourhood greeting neighbours along the way. Méo needs an experienced guardian who will have the patience to work with him as he adapts to the changes in his life. He is an amazing, bouncy, energetic fellow who would need lots of exercise. Méo is reserved in new situations -- he takes his time to sniff folks out. Once you become a familiar face, he will greet you and follow you around everywhere. Méo would best suit an adult home. He’s not perfect but he does not care if his human is either. This endearing and expressive dog will certainly bring joy to his family! Surely, someone will take a chance on him.
