Betty's Story...
Hi! My name is Betty. I'm a 1.5 year old Domestic Short Hair. I have been spayed, de-wormed, micro-chipped, and I have received my first set of vaccinations. I will still require a rabies vaccine after I am adopted.

*I am currently the Lloydminster & District SPCA's longest resident!* Can you believe that?

I'm an affectionate little thing with tons of love and cuddles to give! As soon as you walk in the room you can hear me purring, and you just can't help but pick me up and pet me! I love people of all ages! With the right kitties and some patience I will come around and I could be friends with others! I just want my people all to myself is all. If I sound like the perfect addition to your family please come and visit me at the shelter today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betty, a Lloydminster Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Lloydminster, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Lloydminster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lloydminster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lloydminster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lloydminster paves the way for another one to be saved.
