Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Benjamin! This tiny guy was found wandering the streets of Philadelphia. We do not know how a little 6lber survived on the city streets but thankfully a good samaritan found him and gave him refuge while we searched for his owner. Sadly no one ever came looking for sweet Ben, but we promised we'd find him a forever family who would take good care of him for the rest of his life!
After joining our rescue Benjamin has received senior bloodwork, was neutered and received a dental cleaning. Now all that is left to do is find him a forever home! He is a calm dog who likes to sleep in his round doggie bed or next to you in the evening while you read or watch TV. He goes to bed rather early and sleeps though the night. He walks well on a leash even though his eyesight is somewhat compromised. He has no trouble getting around inside or outside. Benjamin needs more work on potty skills but is progressing. Benjamin has a cough that happens when he is excited or being very active that he will likely have for the rest of his life. Due to his small size and lack of vision, we think a home with dog savvy children that will be careful not to step on him would be best!
Benjamin is a sweet old guy who just wants a warm place to sleep and people who love him! If you are interested in adopting Benjamin, please complete an application at www.seniordoghaven.org. Any questions can be directed to info@seniordoghaven.org.
