Meet Sassafras! She is a charming, long-haired black cat looking for a forever home. She tends to be a little shy, but warms up quick when you show her some affection. Sassafras loves to eat, especially wet food, and will come running when she knows it's feeding time. Being a bit older, she would do best in a mature household or one with older children and prefers not to share her home with other pets. If Sassafras sound like the right match for you, head on down to HOV and spend some time with her. She may just steal your heart!

About Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

The mission of Heart of the Valley Inc. is to compassionately shelter the lost and surrendered pets of Gallatin and Madison Valleys, and to enhance the lives of people and companion animals through pet adoption and education.
HOV is an open admission shelter; we accept any dog or cat brought to the shelter. In addition to adoption services, we also provide a number of programs designed to support our community, helping to bring people and pets together. We offer humane education programming for children, canine training classes and behavioral consultations, a no cost spay and neuter assistance program (SNAP) for feral and semi-feral cats and micro-chipping and ID tags.
