My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

At 23 pounds, Annie Lou is called a "pocket" Beagle. She is a sweet, good natured girl who is 5 years old. Annie Lou had a few small mammary tumors removed at time of spay. The pathology report on Annie Lou's mammary tumors showed 1 of the 3 were a cancer however the vet had excised all the margins which is usually the treatment. If any more pop up in the future, they need to be removed in a timely fashion, but hopefully they won't since she is now spayed.

Annie Lou's foster Mom says that Annie Lou is a dream. Annie Lou loves their older dog and 5 year old granddaughter. She acts like a puppy even though she is 5. Annie Lou will race around and play but when you are ready to settle down she just curls up with you and naps. Annie Lou is also very adventurous and loves to explore. She walks very well on the leash but typical of a beagle, when she picks up a scent she becomes single minded about following it. Annie Lou is crate trained and housebroken when taken out on a regular basis. She is very quiet and has yet to howl as beagles are known to do. It is thought that at some point Annie was abused and is very head shy. She gets very upset if you clap your hands at her or yell at her however saying her name is usually more than enough to get her to stop what ever you want her to stop doing. She listens very well. "I can't say enough about what a great dog she is. She really is a wonderful dog. We all fell in love with her and even more every day. Everyday her goofy funny personality comes out."

Please help Annie Lou find the loving home she deserves.
