Cody's Story...
CODY

Meet Cody, the pup with the million dollar smile! Cody is darling, he's about 7 to 8 years old, and 18 pounds of pure love and sweetness. He makes a wonderful companion, happy to be by your side, always ready to go on a walk or a hike. He is house trained and has learned to use the doggie door.  He would much prefer to sleep with his person than in a kennel.  He knows more than a few commands and always wants to be a good boy. He would do better with adults, no small children and no cats.  Did we mention what a beautiful soft coat he has? He's ready for his forever home!
If you would like to make Cody a part of your family please fill out an application online at www.lapdogrescue.org and include his name at the top.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cody, a Tijeras Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Corgi for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Corgi dog from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Corgi breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
