Brenna's Story...
Hi, my name is Brenna. I was at a rural shelter for about an hour when a BarkTown Dog Rescue volunteer walked in to rescue another dog. Boy, it was my lucky day! She scooped me up and off we went to the vet. I took the No Puppy Pledge (no more girl parts) and am now in a foster home playing with the big dogs. I am learning a lot from the big kids here. On my first day, I learned how to sit for a cookie. The vet thinks I’m about 12-13 weeks old as of May 1, 2017 and so many people think my mom or dad may have been a boxer or a cattle dog because of my features and markings. You can call me whatever you want, I just know I’m very cute, fruit bat cute. I weigh about 15 pounds so I will be a medium size dog. My hair is short and is a sassy burnt sienna color, with brown and black highlights. I’m trying really hard not to potty in my crate at night, but sometimes it’s hard to wait. I am not a fan of the crate because I feel like I’ll miss something. But I know it’s the best place for me at night. My foster mom is helping me learn to ring the bell at the door to go outside to potty. And yes, I still have accidents in the house but I’m getting better at it every day.

I like to explore, my name should be Dora. I’m very curious and love to go on adventures. I’m fearless and can conquer anything. I put stuff in my mouth I’m not supposed to eat, like rocks and anything I find on the floor, so you’ll have to babyproof your house. I like to go for walks, and I’m great on a leash! I love all dogs and might like cats if I meet one. If you have a dog or a cat, I will enjoy having someone to play with at your house. Or a kid, do you have a kid I can play with at your house? Since I am still a puppy, I get bored easily, so I must stay busy or be supervised. I think my real mom and dad were busy dogs too, I need a job, an active family or someone who can keep me on my toes with training or lots of adventures. My foster mom says I am the smartest puppy she has EVER fostered. I pick up training very quickly. I love my toys, treats and food. I’m up to date on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. Now I just have to find a family who will be my perfect home for the rest of my life.

I’m available for adoption now. Please complete an application at If you have any questions, email I can’t wait to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brenna, a Roswell Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Roswell, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Roswell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roswell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roswell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roswell paves the way for another one to be saved.
