My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chief was relinquished to a -kill shelter in rural east Tennessee. The reason is he kept wandering over to the neighbors when he was let out to potty. They were too lazy to leash walk him due to not having a fenced yard. Chief has been a family pet, not a hunting dog. He is active and needs exercise, it is also a couch snuggler.
He will come to you totally vetted, neutered, UTD on shots, HW tested and on flea/tick preventative.
He can be transported to New England once adopted.

If you can save his life, please COMPLETE THE APPLICATION FOUND ON THE SHELTER'S website (noted below) There is NO obligation. It will only help the shelter supervisor determine if it's a good match. She will contact you as soon as the application is received.

There is no need to email asking if the dog is still available. We keep the website up to date. If you see the dog posted - it's still in need of a home!

The adoption fee is the cost of vetting plus the cost of transport. That typical range is $125 and transport to New England is $140. Adoption fee is paid through PayPal on the shelter website and transport is paid when you claim your dog at the transport stop. The shelter supervisor will be happy to answer any questions.
