Here's what the humans have to say about me:
is a very handsome, yet challenging, three-year-old, 20-pound, white Poodle looking for a loving guardian.
Rizzo was found stray in Chicago and rescued from Chicago Animal Care & Control by the Perfect Pooches Adoption Agency. He must not have been well-socialized with people or other dogs as a puppy, because he has a lot of fear - which manifests itself in aggressive behavior.
Rizzo is super-smart dog who bonds very quickly with his humans. He would be best in a house with a fenced in yard with only adults as he may snap at a child and their friends - in fear. He is good with his guardian but slow warming up to visitors.
He is housebroken and well-behaved in the home, but not a fan of being crated. He is extremely playful and loves to play fetch or self entertain with his toys. His foster mom leaves him in his own bedroom when she leaves for work each day. He would be best as the one and only dog in the home as he is fearful of other dogs. He is living in a foster home with cats and is getting along with them quite well.
Rizzo is perfectly healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested.
To meet and possibly adopt Rizzo, please contact Colleen at info@perfectpooches.org for an adoption application.
Rizzo is being fostered in Lockport, Illinois. His adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued pets of Perfect Pooches.
