Phoenix's Story...
Happy-go-lucky Phoenix was found confused and wandering through the busy streets of town recently, looking for her home. Thanks to a good Samaritan, she is now safe and sound with us. Unsure how she got here or why no one came to reclaim her, we are now determined to find her a safe, secure, and loving home.

Phoenix is an adult female black lab, shepherd mix, who is as sweet as can be. She loves people and doesn't seem to mind other dogs or cats. She enjoys walks and takes treats gently from your hands. She will do best in a home that provides a calm environment with moderate activity. She will become available for adoption on 4/27/17. To meet her, please visit during daily adoption hours of 12-5pm and Wednesdays 12-6;30pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phoenix, a Bloomfield Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Bloomfield, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Bloomfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
