Facts about Jack

  • Breed: German Shepherd Dog

  • Age: Young
  • Size: X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 11349598-2017-010
Jack is about 15 months old. He's neutered. He's been to the vet and is now current on vaccines. Jack is what happens when you buy a cute little German Shepherd puppy and then don't do any training with him in the first year of his life. He's very friendly and sociable, but he has absolutely no manners. Actually he has a lot of bad manners. He does seem to be ok with being crated, however, and he's certainly fine with other large dogs. He will like any dog who will like him back; the others he will just leave alone. Jack's only goal in life is to play, play, and then play some more. He's very jumpy, somewhat mouthy, but never mean or aggressive about it, he's just a wild child. He can get over a 4' fence quite easily and he can climb and scramble over a 6' chain link fence. Jack loves the water and he loves to run after a tennis ball, although he's not inclined to give it back. He's going to take some work, he's not for a first time shepherd owner, but he's got the potential to make someone a really great dog. Jack is very food motivated, knows some commands ie: sit, down, paw, catches treats in the air. He can go so much further with someone who wants to take to the next level

About Promises Animal Rescue, Inc

About Our Rescue Group...

P.A.R. is a volunteer dog rescue organization dedicated to rescuing German Shepherds and Labrador Retrievers in shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia, dogs given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect.

We are also dedicated to teaching awareness, education, help and mentoring the public and veterinarians the skills on caring for special need dogs with Mega Esophagus.

We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process and will continue to be a helpful resource after you have welcomed your new pet into your life...

We are determined to keep administrative expenses extremely low so that virtually every dollar taken in goes directly to the care of the dogs. Our group remains interested in and committed to the welfare of the dog beyond the adoption process, with regards to care, education, resources, training. Fundamentally all donations will be spent directly on the care of the animals.
