Looking for a kitty who will be your little lover?  Look no further than this sweet Red Marbled Tabby boy... RUSTY!  He will make himself right at home on your lap, snuggles with any other kitty who happens to be there, and purr up a storm (or two all) while kneading his little paws to his hearts content!  Oops, I forgot... and Sweetheart is his middle name!

Rusty wandered over to a cat lover's home from the farm across the road, and was friendly as could be.  She took him back across the street, and not long afterwards, he was back again, wanting her attention!  She took him back and this time she made sure the farmer knew he was wandering across the road (she was afraid he'd get run over), and he told her to just take him - they didn't want him!  He was such a cute little thing and she didn't want him to freeze to death if it was a freezing cold winter, so she took him back to her home and hoped she could find him a young family of his very own since her cats were older.  In addition to living with other kitties, this handsome boy has also lived in a home with DOGS, too!

The most bizarre thing happened a couple of months ago... He was laying down and when he got up, she wondered what kind of toy he'd been playing with on the chair, as she'd never seen it before.  She was shocked to find what appeared to be the end of his tail laying there!  She couldn't believe her eyes, so she grabbed him up and checked his tail, and sure enough... the hair around the end of it was poofy but had a pink stub in the middle!  No blood or anything!  She took him to the vet the next morning, and the only thing they could think of is that he'd had a light colored string of hair or something that had tangled around his tail but wasn't visible to the eye, as she'd never seen anything around it - and it apparently had cut off the circulation until it just dropped off! WOW!  He didn't seem to notice and acted like nothing had happened... but it was a shocking moment for his rescuer!

Rusty is playful and loves to cuddle and rough and tumble with his good buddy, TIG, who is also available for adoption.  He was another kitten rescued from a rural property in the small town near where his rescuer lives, so they've become buddies in the time they have lived together.  If you are looking to adopt a pair of kittens, please consider adopting Rusty and Tig... they are just old enough to be past the kitten stage where they get into all kinds of mischief, but are still very kittenish themselves!

Rusty is about 8-9 months old as of 5/1/17. He is neutered, negative for FeLk/FIV, has had a series of FVRCP vaccinations and his rabies vaccination, and has been treated for parasites.  ALSO... all LHAR animals are also microchipped!  Rusty is more than ready for his PURRFECT family to find him and give him his furrever home!

Rusty's adoption fee is only $100.00... quite a bargain for all the vetting he has had done!  You can find an adoption application on the Last Hope Animal Rescue website at  Apply today and make this kitten's dream of a home of his own a reality!
