found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.
A little information about Theo...
My name is Theo and I am like a little bit of milk chocolate and who can resist chocolate! I'm a little chihuahua mix and only weigh 7 lbs and am about a year old. I found myself lost and then taken to a really scary place called a shelter. When no one came looking for me, my FM asked me if I wanted to go on an adventure and find me a forever home in CT and I said yes! I've gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met here and have ignored those things called cats who are all much bigger than me. FM says I'm not a loud boy and hardly ever bark. She also said to tell you that I am really good in my crate and I haven't had any accidents while in there overnight. While I may be a little guy, I have a big heart and lots of love to give … if you would be interested in meeting me, I'll be waiting!
Theo will be coming to our next event at:
Shelter Adoption Event
Town House Road
We are open to the public from 11;30 am to 4 pm Saturday the 20th and 10:00 am - 4pm on Sunday. Applicants who apply online by the Thursday Prior to the Event will be allowed early entrance at 10am on Saturday. All final decisions are made by the rescues not Homeward Bound volunteers. If you are interested in this dog or any of our dogs please go to www.homewardboundct.org (copy and paste in browser window) and see all of the dogs coming and also fill out an application. Please note that most of these dogs are not in Connecticut and will be arriving the day prior so it is most likely not possible for you to meet them prior to the event.
If you are a first time dog owner we may require a home visit prior to adoption.
If you rent or live in a condo we will require proof that you are able to have a dog. This could be a copy of the lease or condo agreement.
All the residents in the household MUST come to the event along with any dog in your home for a meet and greet with our trainers.
Per the request of the rescues we may limit adoptions to only Connecticut homes due to the distance and support we give them. This again is strictly the rescues decision and hope you will honor that.
We also require a follow up visit with all families within a couple of months after the adoption.
Since we know there are many questions, please realize we will answer questions of those who have filled out an application first.
Adoption Fee is no more than $385. All dogs will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated to age and also microchipped.
If you have additional questions about our dogs feel free to contact us. Please understand that we are all volunteers and will try to get back to you as soon as possible. If it is close to our event we are very busy with pre-screening our applicants so please understand if we can't answer all your questions in a timely manner. Our goal is to make sure these dogs go to the best home possible.
