Ziggy's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Ziggy's Story...
Ziggy is a very sad example of neglect. He was rescued from a hoarder/backyard breeder house. He doesn't have the best pictures yet because He is just SO scared. He is only 7 months old.
When we first got him he was INFESTED with ticks. Literally we must have picked off hundreds. It is so sad that he has lived his life like this... Just as a feeding ground for ticks. He was not socialized where he came from. Left in a backyard his whole life only coming in contact with humans when it was time to eat.

Now that he is with us she is learning what its like to be an inside dog. We have treated him for the ticks, shaved him down as she needed a mercy groom & are showing him what it is like to be an inside family member.

He loves other dogs & doesn't mind kitties. I would say no little kids-- he needs patience & someone that will go slow & give him time. Kiddos can be too grabby & may be too much for him.

He has been neutered, vaccinated & microchipped. We also tested him for tick fever, heartworm & anaplasma which was all negative. If you think you may be the patient committed home that he needs, please reach out to us :) His adoption fee is $300.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ziggy, a Phoenix Maltese/Havanese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Havanese for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Maltese/Havanese dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Havanese breeders who help with Maltese/Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
