So, we asked 5 month old Ethan what type of forever home we should look for and he said "a home with cheese and Cheerios", goofy boy will do anything for a treat. Food motivation means great training ability for this 35lb cutie, and he certainly learns well from positive training. He may be some sort of Collie/Terrier mix so that would speak to his "smarts". He also learns from his mature canine companions and just loves to follow them around picking up all of those good behaviors along the way. Do you have a fabulous dog or dogs whom Ethan could continue to learn from? He loves the company of dogs so much that we will require that he goes to a home with at least one other pup in the house. Ethan is the shy sensitive type at first so he will need a patient owner who will allow him to blossom in his own time. For this reason, we think a relaxed, laid back household would be a good fit. Don't let his shyness fool you though, once comfortable, he shows his silly, affectionate puppy side. He would benefit from a fun puppy training class and we are sure he'd be the "A+" student. We know this because Ethan has already learned potty manners and has been crate educated. Do you want to give Ethan a chance at a beautiful life? We know he will be forever loyal and grateful to his new family.
The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many!
***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking withâ the vet(s) listed on your application to ensureâ that your âcurrent and previous âpet(s) are kept up to date on vaccinesâ (includingâ rabiesâ)â, spayed or neutered, âmaintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and âexamined annually by your vet.***
