Wilbur's Story...
Meet Wilbur!

He is an absolute doll face that became too old for his family to want him anymore :( Due to divorce they decided at his senior age he was too much of an inconvenience to have around. They told us he is 13 years old but our vet says he doesn't seem a day over 9/10 ;)

He is a mellow senior but still LOVES the water, playing ball, cuddling, napping & he especially loves kids! He loves other dogs & cats too! He is the epitome of a fantastic lab that we can't believe was someone's throw away.

If you're interested in giving this senior guy a home please let us know :) He had a basic blood panel with us that came out great, he is also tick fever, anaplasma & heartworm negative. HIs teeth are in great shape & he is also neutered, vaccinated & microchipped. His adoption fee is $75.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wilbur, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
