Edy & Gertie's Story...
Hello! Our names are Edy and Gertie and we were born around December 2016. We are some of the rare orange female Tabbies! Only 25% of orange Tabby cats are girls. We are both a little shy at first, but once we are used to you, we love to get snuggles and pets! I (Edy) like to purr a LOT, I am really loud at purring but I don’t meow too often. I (Gertie) am really quiet too, but I am a curious girl who likes to play. Do you think you would open your home to a pair of sweet sisters?

These two sweet sisters will preferably be adopted as a pair. They are very sweet and love getting affection once they are comfortable.

If you think Edy and Gertie would be the perfect fit for your family, please visit our website at to complete our adoption survey and one of our representatives will follow up with you shortly!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Edy & Gertie, a LaGrange Park Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in LaGrange Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in LaGrange Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LaGrange Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LaGrange Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LaGrange Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
