Harley Boy comes to us from a southern WV shelter, where he ended up after being hit by a car, and his owners couldn't get him the vet care he needed. We had some wonderful contributors that funded his vet care to the tune of $1,600 for leg surgery due to multiple fractures and breaks in his left front leg. He's on the mend now and in a loving foster home. He's fine with other dogs and older kids. We don't know how he is around cats. We are not quite sure of his house training skills, as he's been crated or kenneled for weeks due to his severe injury. Assume he is not house trained at this time, but we're pretty sure he'll be a quick learner!
Update on Harley, He is continuing to do well with his broken leg. He still has a few more weeks of bedrest before getting his pins out of his leg. Harley will need a fenced in yard as he cannot wear a harness or collar at this time. After his recovery period is over. Harley will be completely healed with no foreseeable problems
It may be a couple weeks before he is ready for adoption. Once he gets the all-clear from the vet, and his metal pins and rods are removed, he should be ready to go.
