Smiley Riley!!

Riley Smiley is a beautiful boy now that his coat has grown out and his mouth doesn't hurt so much. His dental was completed in July and his mouth has healed beautifully as well as his skin. He's a loving boy who needs a kind and patient home. He still wears a belly band inside because he has a tendency to hike and squirt. But he loves to go outside and potties out there. He sleeps all night in his bed but would really rather be up cuddling next to his person. He loves being a couch potato and watching tv with his buddy. How about a home for Riley for Christmas?

Riley was turned in by his family after being with them for some time, but he didn't seem to mind since as you can see, he's all smiles! His veterinary care had been allowed to lapse and his teeth were in terrible condition. After surgery, his mouth is healing nicely, and the remainder of the work will be done in early July because there was so much infection in his mouth. He also had a bunch of little oil gland sores that were removed. One had been allowed to rupture and received no care so it was infected, so right now his little back looks like a war zone, but it is healing, and he will be fine.

Riley's house training is coming along nicely but will need patience and reinforcement in his new home.

His owners first told us he is 8 and then said 13, BUT this dog has way too much energy for a 13 year old! We believe he's closer to 8, and he weighs 11.8 pounds. He's very sweet and gentle. Don't you need some smiles from this sweet boy?
