Toby Tebow is a purebred male Boston terrier,  7-8 years old and weighs  21 lb. He was originally adopted from a rescue that has now closed.

He is sweet and playful, loves car rides and the water hose. However, he is extremely anxious during storms (tries to hide, not destructive)  and can be a little aggressive with his food, but that's easily managed by feeding in his crate or a different room from other dogs in the home.

He would do best in a home without small children, as they make him a bit nervous.  He is very loyal and cuddly with adult companions. He gets along with dogs but can be somewhat dominant.   He would be fine with a more submissive housemate, but he's not good with cats.

Toby Tebow is located in Birmingham, AL, and an approved adopter would need to be prepared to travel to get him since we cannot transport dogs from this location. He is neutered, microchipped, current on all his vaccines, heart worm negative, on heartworm preventative and has no health problems.

Our process always begins with an application found at: www.bostonterriertn.org.  Homes with prior Boston Terrier experience is preferred and current pet history a plus.  No homes with large dogs or children under 12-years old please.

To find out more about Toby Tebow, call his mom, Michelle. at 205-913-3508

His adoption fee is $300.00

Please use the foster momma or dad's contact information above for questions.

The process always begins with an application which can be found at The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website

Note that in most cases, we do not adopt to families with small children, e.g., 'under 6,' as a precaution to the child's safety and the dog's safety. In some cases with larger Boston mixes or other dogs, we do make exceptions. Please ask the foster momma.

We prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog.  The East Coast division (NC/SC/VA/MD/DC) does have special transport capabilties for their kids.   Ask them.

Also, submission of an application and fee does not guarantee adoption of any specific Boston since that particular dog may have applications pending or may not be the right match for you.

About Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee

About Our Rescue Group...

All breeds have their own particular needs and rescued pets often have special requirements as well, very often in want of medical care, often lacking nourishment and kindness, and often expensive to rehabilitate.

Because we have had Boston Terriers of our own for many years, we are familiar with their habits, peculiarities and their special needs.

We operate across the southeast under the auspices of the Boston Terrier Rescue Network. We share information and resources in all of the USA with affiliated Boston Rescues.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption fees generally range from $400 for pups and up, to usually four years, $275 for adults, usually $200 when we have a mixed breed Boston.

The fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying when required, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "slow kill", a monthly prevention program for heartworms, treatment for other parasites, any other vet visits or urgent medical attention required, and supplies to foster homes. It is our expectation & requirement that these same preventative routine medications be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.
