My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

May 2017 update: Sophie is here with us and she is such a riot - gorgeous and busy and having a great time with her furry foster sister and her human foster brother. She is an awesome and fun girl!

Oh these girls! With their gorgeous coloring and sweet eyes, who can resist these faces?!

Sadie and Sophie are 6 months old and are good size girls at about 45 lbs. Look at the size of those paws! Their mom is a gorgeous Catahoula Leopard Dog and we wonder if Dad may have been a Weimeraner mix. The girls are so very sweet, they love the other dogs in their foster home and are terrific with children.

Sadie and Sophie are so lucky to have been rescued. Their mama, Skylar, wandered up to a man's house after having taken one of his chickens for lunch. He didn't appreciate it and threatened to shoot her. His dad took in Skylar and kept her safe; he didn't know she was already pregnant. He gave away all the puppies but the last two; after contacting our partner rescuers he not only gave the puppies to them but agreed to give up mama so she could be spayed and taken care of as well.

To learn more about Lucky Pup Rescue, please visit our website: www.luckypuprescue.org. If you have interest in any of our dogs, please fill out the application and we'll work with you to find a great match for your family: http://www.luckypuprescue.org/#!adoption-application/c1aw8.

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.

Thank you for considering rescue!
