Chance's Info...

Chance's Story...
Chance is a Yellow Labrador Retriever mix that has a very handsome face! (possibly some American Bulldog cross) He is 7 1/2 months old. He is crate trained and has had no accidents indoors. He gets along with other dogs his size, and is currently learning not to chase cats. He loves walks, jogging, and massages! One of his favorite things to do, besides playing with toys, is to chase bugs. Evenings outside with lightening bugs are an amusing experience! He also loves to play with the water from the water hose. The few weeks in foster care,
he has learned "Come," "No," "Sit," "Down,"
"Drop," "Leave it," and he also has learned how to "Shake" and "High Five."
Chance was adopted through a City Pound and 4 days later was found as a County stray, so he really needs a commitment this time! Friendly pup with a deep bark, that will be a large dog. He is neutered, vaccinated, including rabies, bathed and dewormed. He tested Negative on Heartworm, Lyme Disease & Ehrlichiosis. A great pup!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chance, a Harlan Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Harlan, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Harlan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harlan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harlan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harlan paves the way for another one to be saved.
