Rees is a male Schnauzer/Poodle mix approximately 3 years old. He is a currently 12 pounds with his ideal weight being a nice sized 15 pounds. Rees has been professionally groomed and currently has a very short haircut due to matting of his coat upon arrival to the shelter. He is completely non-shedding with soft, snow white curls. Rees is a very friendly people dog who is great with absolutely everyone - children, adults, and company, or people he has just met. He adores being included and will want to be with you wherever you are. He enjoys snuggling on laps or curled up next to you on the couch to watch TV or read. At night he would love to cuddle under the covers with you or be close by for comfort. Rees wants to be included in family life and has no problem with lots of attention and being in the center of things. He thrives on love and handling. Rees will sometimes play with soft toys but is mostly just an affectionate companion dog. He walks very well on leash and has a nice amount of energy for longer walks or romps at the park. If its just a short stroll through the neighborhood that you are after or a lazy day outside gardening, he's fine with that too. Rees is very agreeable with most everything. He loves car rides and spending time with his people, even if its just to run errands. Rees will bond very closely and will be your little shadow. He is a sweetheart and although he is fine with other dogs, does not appear to need another dog in the home to feel secure. He's all about the people and will do well being fussed over and pampered to his hearts content. Rees was rescued from a high-volume shelter where he was dumped by owners who said they were moving.....without him. He was a sad boy to be left alone and really wants a family he can depend on. This loving dog will be your best friend for life. Rees is very healthy and ready for his new forever home today!
Rees’s adoption donation is $450 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACINNATIONED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Rees is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Mary B. and is ready for his forever home.
