~~Hello, my name is Mika and I am a healthy and happy 3-year-old German Shepherd mix. I weight 79 pounds according to my last vet visit. I am fully potty trained and crate trained, which is also where I am fed. I am currently living in a foster home with my foster mom and dad as well as their GSD Klaus. He is younger than I am and very playful, which I love! I am great with all dogs and will play all day long once I get used to them. My foster family also learned that I have this very high pitch scream/whine. It means I am happy and excited. It might sound like I am getting hurt or scared, but I promise it is a good thing. I do not live currently with any cats, but have in the past. I am great with kids of all ages, too. I have met mostly kids older than 8 and get pretty excited when meeting new people so I tend to jump on them, but we are working on that. I know how to sit and down, but when it comes to my recall I get a little distracted outside. I will come if called in the house though. I love cuddling and sleeping in the bed! I could cuddle all day if you let me. When I want a belly rub, I will come to your feet and just lay on my back until you rub it at least once. I also love chewing on a bone called Chewy Louie, which is a white bone filled with peanut butter that you can get from Harris Teeter. I love going on walks, but pull some so my foster family started using a prong collar and I stopped right away. I listen to correction very well. I love looking out the window and watching people pass by with their furry friends. I don't bark unless my foster brother starts barking. It is fun to just join in for no reason! If you think you could be my forever family, please work with your adoption coordinator. If you don't have an adoption coordinator, please fill out an application at southeastgermanshepherdrescue.com! I am a great dog just ask my foster parents! I am being fostered near Greensboro, NC.
Our adoption process consists of a telephone interview, a call to your veterinarian and a home visit. If you have any questions about the adoption process please contact email@example.com .
