Cruz's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Cruz's Story...
Cruz is a 2-3 year old male Akita/lab mix. He weighs about 60lbs. Foster Mom says his general disposition is happy. He does well with other dogs as you can see from his video but does seem to prefer female dogs. He is friendly and has done well with everyone he meets including kids. Cruz was kept outside on a small chain prior to coming to our rescue so inside is new to him but he's loving it. He is working on potty training, kennel training, and leash training with his foster Mom. He knows sit and is working on other commands. He loves to go in the car and loves to spend time outside. He is an energetic guy and loves playtime so he would do best with an active family with a fenced back yard as he loves to run in the yard. He loves to be with his people and likes to be foster Mom's shadow. He's a snuggler and loves belly fubs.

Email us at kcpetfinder@hotmail.com to meet Cruz. His adoption fee is $175 and includes age appropriate vaccines, neuter, heartworm testing, and microchip.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cruz, a Overland Park Akita/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita/Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Akita/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Akita/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
