My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a story of a Princess without a kingdom. It is a sad story but not a unique one. Princess once lived in a home and all seemed good. Then the children arrived and she was forgotten until the toddlers learned that poking and pulling her was fun. Scared, and scarred by being declawed, Princess lived in fear until the day came that she was no longer wanted and was given away. Arriving at the rescue at the age of eight, Princess was frightened and depressed. She did not know how to handle this new situation so much later in life. She remained in her little cage and tried to protect it as if that was all she had left. This meant that when someone tried to show kindness, Princess was afraid and would hiss to protect her little domain such as it was. People would say she was grumpy and miserable but she was only afraid and she wanted to be loved so much. So she stayed in her small cage and never ventured out.

Months passed and still she stayed inside. She has yet to actually go out for a little walk around the adoption centre. Princess has a very sweet nature that she sometimes hides with hisses. She is afraid to trust and will need patience and assurance that she is loved. In return, she will bless you with soundless purrs and throat rumbles. Princess deserves a chance to have a kingdom (a small home with no other cats or small children). She wants to show how loving she can be but she needs someone to believe in her. Could that be you? Could you help Princess regain her confidence and trust again? She would reward you greatly with devotion and love. Please rescue this sweet Princess and help her know love and find her happily ever after.
