Tiki's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Tiki's Story...
Tiki currently fostered in Marin County (northern calif)

My name is Tiki, some call me Tikiroo because they say I resemble a kangaroo.  I am a one year old, shepherd mix tripod, weighing in at 45lbs.   Although I'm missing a leg, I don't feel like I have special needs. In fact, I run like a deer!

I respond well to training, especially when treats are involved.  I  enjoy  people and other animals, playing fetch in the yard and just hanging around the house. I sleep through the night on my bed, and best part is, I'm already house broken.

I am a very happy, independent dog  looking for a forever family to love me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiki, a Indianapolis German Shepherd Dog/Saluki dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Saluki for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Saluki dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Saluki breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Saluki rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
