Marley--GORGEOUS 9 yo fully vetted F black lab, 61 lbs, HW NEG

Marley’s owner says:
I have a 9 year old black lab who I adopted from a coworker. The coworker couldn't keep her due to his mother's allergy and she had to move in with them. We didn't know at first, but she is very noise sensitive and so ill suited to my apartment lifestyle. The footsteps of my upstairs neighbors cause her anxiety to no end. I think she believes the footstep are thunder, which I know she is afraid of. The poor thing can't relax, play, or sleep in peace. Both my apartment complex and I have tried to talk to the neighbors, but to no avail.

I've tried crating, Thundershirts, calming scents, radio, tv, fans, extra exercise, Prozac, and sedatives. Nothing seems to be working. But the moment we leave the apartment and climb in the car, she goes back to the sweet, lovable dog I know.

Health-wise, she is spayed and I just paid for her annual shots. Heartworm negative. She's great with children of all ages and good with other dogs. I'm not sure she's met a cat, but she has a quiet and gentle temperament, so I think she'd be fine.

Marley's adoption fee is $200.

About Recycled Tails

About Our Rescue Group...

Recycled Tails was created by Heidi Evans in 2011 to continue her life long dream of rescuing animals of all shapes and sizes.

We have our 501c3 non-profit status and are always recruiting foster homes. We rescue unwanted pets including dogs, other domestic pets and barnyard friends (including chickens!) and work to find them their new forever homes.

We have a program to help pet owners who need to rehome their pets to keep their pets in their homes until a new home can be found. We can provide vet care/food/training to qualified pet owners who have a reason to rehome their pet in order to allow the pet to stay in the home as long as possible. Our goal is to place the pet right from one home to another.

We believe education can be the key to successful pet ownership. Heidi has spoken at schools and other programs to young adults about the meaning of owning a pet and all of the requirements that go along with it. If we can educate our youth it will benefit the future of pet ownership overall. If you would like to learn more about this please email us.
