Facts about Bloom

  • Breed: Feist Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
"Bloom has truly earned her name. This sweet, funny little girl came to SAAP with five puppies and a lot of fear. For the past several months, we have watched her slowly bloom into the wonderful, loving, happy dog she is today. She is finally ready to take the next step and become someone's forever friend!
Bloom has bonded very strongly with her foster mom, but she is still very nervous and shy around strangers. Her adopter will need to be a patient, kind person who will give her some time to warm up and feel comfortable in a new environment. Bloom is learning about toys and has been playing quite a bit with foster mom and the other dogs in her foster home. She is a very spunky, silly dog when she lets her true personality show!
Bloom has not met a cat during her time with SAAP, but her personality makes us think she probably would do fine with a feline buddy. If you are intersted in Bloom and have a cat, please let us know and we can cat test her to be sure.
Bloom has spent some time around kids and seems to really like them when they are being calm and quiet. She does get scared if they are being rambunctious, but we do think she would acclimate to the chaos of children if she were around them all the time. When she is scared, she just likes to have a quiet, safe space where she can go lay down.
Bloom will need some work with learning to walk on a leash. She hasn't been brave enough for long walks yet (we just got comfortable with the back yard in the past few weeks). We think she eventually would love going on walks, but any intersted adopter would need to be patient and slowly help her build up her confidence so she feels comfortable leaving her safe space.
Bloom is about 30lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is also current on flea and heartworm preventative. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Bloom, please apply today at www.adoptastray.com!"

All SAAP dogs and puppies are vet checked, UTD on vaccines, spayed/neutered, micro chipped, and given flea and heartworm preventatives as age appropriate.

About Stray Animal Adoption Program

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?

We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.

If you need info on a cat or kitten please contact 859-391-2944

Our Adoption Process...

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.
