Hi, my name is Rudy. I am a handsome 1 year old male Viszla. Did you know that Viszla's are called the "Velcro Dogs" because we love being with our humans!!!!
My family took me in this past October when a co-worker had a baby and my puppy energy combined with their new baby was too much for them. I currently live with a 4 year Doberman who is very stressed out and unhappy with me living there. Sometimes he gets very angry and so for my safety, my current family has asked our new friends at Chicagoland Dog Rescue to find me a good home.
I got to meet some of the CDR volunteers on Saturday and hang out with them for awhile. I loved meeting all the new people, and other dogs. I am super social with people, kids, other dogs and even cats. I have a ton of energy and will need a fenced in yard to burn off some that energy. Oh, btw, I can jump a 4 foot fence in a blink of an eye!!!!! So 5 foot fence or taller would be ideal, and I wouldn't mind another K9 friend to play with too. Did I mention how fast I can run!!!! I love to give kisses and my current family says I don't have a mean bone in my body. I'm good in the house and I do not destroy things.
My new friend Lu Anne said I am very smart and eager to please however, I do need to work walking on a leash without pulling and some puppy manners.. you see, being a "Velcro Dog" I love to jump up and give hugs... I am 40 lbs and current on my medicals.
