Shep's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Shep's Story...

"Shep" (he does not have a true name) is about a year old; I believe he was younger than 1 when we found him. He was neutered and given shots recently in the hopes that it will make finding him a forever home easier. We cannot keep him because a large dog would not fit within our budget!
He is extremely loving and sweet. He will need a lot of exercise in his new home, as he is still young so is quite energetic. He has an issue with jumping on people, which we are in the process of trying to correct (he's doing well). He is not much of a barker unless, of course, he has pent-up energy. He prefers fetch over tug-o-war and likes chew toys when not playing with someone. He loves running around, so it would be best to have a yard or a nearby [dog] park! He is very submissive when it comes to people; I don't see him to be an alpha dog (when my dog is outside with him, he just wants to play with no shows of dominance). Thank you for reading, and I hope you give this loverboy a chance!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shep, a Tulsa German Shepherd Dog/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Chow Chow for sale in Tulsa, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Tulsa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tulsa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tulsa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Chow Chow breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tulsa paves the way for another one to be saved.
