Frankie's Story...
**RECLAIMED 5/9/2017** ... Frankie" is a beautiful adult female English Springer Spaniel mix who arrived at the HSOV on May 8, 2017 after she was picked up on Colegate Drive in Marietta Ohio by the Washington County Dog Warden. She was accompanied by another English Springer Spaniel whom we've named Johnny.

"Frankie" has a white-and-chocolate brown medium smooth coat, a short tail, and a darling English Springer Spaniel face with a liver-colored nose and long floppy ears which are covered in naturally wavy hair. "Frankie" has a wonderful disposition and was quite the charmer when she had her glamour photos taken. She was wearing a cone when she entered our shelter so she must have been seen by a veterinarian in the recent past.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, "Frankie" will be held for three days so that her family will have the opportunity to reclaim her. In the unlikely event that she is not reclaimed, "Frankie" will be available for adoption on May 11, 2017.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frankie, a Marietta English Springer Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Springer Spaniel for sale in Marietta, or seeking a English Springer Spaniel dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Springer Spaniel breeders who help with English Springer Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
