Reed's Story...
Reed is this tiny Jack Russell rock-star of a dog. We were walking with him yesterday and one of the staffers passed by and said, "That's My favorite dog of all of them." We know we're not supposed to have favorites, and we really don't. But, Reed? This guy is the bomb!
He's 2, so fully-grown and seems potty-trained. He adores walking on leash with you, but sometimes will stop and ask you to carry him. Seriously. He will. It's not because he's lazy; he wants more snuggle time. He wants you to hold him so he can fold his whole body into your neck. Reed is a big love-sponge, like an Olympic-sized lover of love. We know JRT's are known for being highly energetic and playful. Reed loves to play, but he leans more towards the snuggling side of things. This dog! We can't even! It's hard to explain how special he is, so maybe you just need to head on down to PAWS Atlanta and fall in love for yourself.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Reed, a Decatur Jack Russell Terrier/Mixed Breed (Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Mixed Breed (Small) for sale in Decatur, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Mixed Breed (Small) dog from a breeder in Decatur.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Decatur already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Decatur breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Mixed Breed (Small) breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Mixed Breed (Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Decatur paves the way for another one to be saved.
