Surprise, surprise, another Senior Boy at Animatch. Meet Boddy, a 10-year-old (but such a young 10) Berner who just exudes so much love and joy! How come he needs a home? His family simply did not have the time. He still has lots of pep in his step and yearns for a forever home, with lots of soft dogs bed, where he can enjoy his golden years. Did you know that senior dogs love to play as much as their youthful counterparts? They might not play for as long and you may have to adjust your expectations but they so enjoy the human attention. Boddy is outgoing and spunky and can’t wait to go for walks around the neighbourhood. He will turn down any potential adopter who is not perfect for him – meaning committed to his care for the rest of his life. He does great with other dogs but cats are not his thing. He relishes lounging in the sun and naps by the fireside. This people-oriented dog who soaks up human attention, will make a wonderful loyal companion. Since he was never sterilized, he does tend to mark his territory; now that he is sterilized and with a little vigilance from his human, the problem should be corrected. Any Berner lovers out there?
