My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scout is a shy and very cute girl, born 6/21/2015. But, like other tortico kitties, Scout gives lots of affection once she gets to know you. Her sweet, timid meow lets you know she’s around and wants some love. Don’t let her slight limp fool you. Scout can be very spry and playful. After several check-ups and x-rays, the vet has not been able to determine the cause of her limp. Scout doesn’t seem to be bothered by it and remains unfettered. Scout also has a heart murmur, so takes heart medication each morning like a pro. After a little time to warm-up to someone new, Scout is sure to make an affectionate, loving companion.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and either come to an adoption event or arrange to meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
