This adorable boy is Buddy! Buddy is an 11 month old lab pit mix who is looking for his forever home! Buddy is very active and playful, so he needs a home that can give him lots of exercise like walks, hikes, play time, and time to run around in the yard. He needs a house (no apartments please) with a fully fenced yard to keep him nice and secure. Once he gets all his wiggles out, Buddy also loves to snuggle! Buddy can be a little pushy when he is really excited, so he needs a home without young kids. He will need dedicated training to help him learn good manners. He's also really strong on leash, so he needs a patient adopter who can help him learn leash skills. Buddy needs to be the only pet in the home, and needs to be a "stay at home dog", so no need to take this boy to dog parks. Buddy is really smart and would love an adopter who can help him learn lots of fun tricks and commands. Mental stimulation like games and food puzzles can help Buddy keep his brain busy, in addition to lots of physical exercise. If you are willing to dedicate lots of time to Buddy to give him all the exercise, training, and attention he needs, he may be the perfect dog for you! Our Canine Trainer will be able to talk with you more about Buddy's needs, and how to set him up for success in a home. Stop by our shelter to learn more about Buddy, or email to request more information.

About Kitsap Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter. We rescue and rehome over 6000 pets each year. Every animal leaves here spayed or neutered and with complete vaccines and a microchip. We have been caring for animals in need since 1908 and envision a time when all adoptable pets have loving homes.

We are extremely proud of our exceptionally high “lives saved” rate of over 95%. Through our active adoption, behavior, foster, transfer, and veterinary programs, we are able to rehome every adoptable animal that enters our facility. No animal is ever euthanized for lack of space.

In addition to caring for and adopting animals, we also provide spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County, and provide Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to our surrounding municipalities.
